We are starting a Children’s Liturgy of the Word for preschool and kindergarten children in January during part of the 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Masses and are looking for volunteers to help lead once a month. Training is provided.
The preschool/kindergarten group will be dismissed with the regular Children’s Liturgy of the Word group and will meet in the Narthex on the carpet so they can learn more about the readings, Mass, and our faith. The children will come back into the church during the offertory.
Please consider using your talents to help with our NEW ministry. For additional information or to volunteer, contact Paula Staszkow at 772-4717 or email paulas@stclareroseville.org
Confirmation is a sacrament of Christian commitment and a deepening of baptismal gifts. It is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation. Some Catholics received the first two sacraments, Baptism and Eucharist; however, for one reason or another, they did not receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
If you are one of those Catholics and would like the opportunity to now be confirmed and you are 18 years or older, St. Clare is offering Adult Confirmation sessions to prepare you for this sacrament. The sessions begin on Saturday, January 7 at 4:00 p.m. in the La Salle Room and will continue for twelve sessions.
Confirmation is scheduled with the Bishop at St. Clare on Sunday, March 25 at the 5:00 p.m. Mass. If you are interested in registering for these sessions or would like more information, please contact Rita Schillin at 872-4700
Your Help is Needed by the Children’s Liturgy
Children’s Liturgy needs your help for 1-2 hours every month
during the 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Masses every Sunday. You
will read the Sunday scriptures to them, and they will have an
opportunity to reflect on what they have heard by answering
open-ended questions. The readings are in language easily understood
by the children. You will also lead them in song.
Children’s Liturgy takes place during the first half of Mass.
This will allow you to be back in church in time for the Liturgy
of the Eucharist.
Please prayerfully consider whether you can volunteer for this
valuable ministry for our children and contact Brenda Scott at
772-0545 or email her at pauls64ray@surewest.net if you want
more information. The group would love to have you join
them.
